Learning Lessons for Grammar School Students

3rd - 5th Grade Students

theMaker offers Learning Lessons for small groups of grammar school age students in 3rd to 5th grades. Software Programming Learning Lessons at this age are 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes long and sessions go for 8 weeks. Powerful learning technologies will support fun activities and your child will enjoy building digital creations they conceptualize. Learning software programming will be a natural byproduct of fun hands on learning activities.

Primary Focus

Lessons for this age group emphasize critical thinking around age appropriate concepts in mathematics and software programming. Abstract concepts, particularly math based, come to life as your child actually creates software that shows those concepts in action.

What to expect

A key component to software programming is learning to think differently. Yes, students at this age can create real, working computer software that applies mathematics and logic constructs in understandable and concrete ways that can be shown to family, teachers, and friends.
